STORYBOARD CREATION

Students in the Game Design 1 classes use Toon Boom Storyboard Pro software to create storyboards for a given story/script.  They draw scenes using Wacom drawing tablets and add details such as camera moves, animations, 2D/3D objects, transitions, etc.  They can earn an industry certification in Storyboard Pro.

CREATE AN
ORIGINAL BOARD GAME

Students worked in teams to design an original board game.  Each class then voted on the Best Overall game.  That team will now work with the Advanced Manufacturing class to produce their game board and playing pieces with 3D printing and vinyl graphics.

Creating Worlds with Minecraft Education

Students work together in teams--collaborating on their design projects.
What a great way to learn game design and teamwork!

One project that the students created was the Ultimate Amusement Park:  Students worked in 6 teams to create 6 different theme areas for the park where they designed everything from buildings, rides, concession/souvenir stands, scenery, statues, etc.
